It started with a light that almost worked.
I originally bought a similar keychain light online because the idea was funny and the product seemed genuinely useful. But once I tried it, I found two problems: the lighting could be better, and replacing the batteries was far more inconvenient than it needed to be.
When I checked the reviews, I realized I wasn’t the only one. Other buyers were describing many of the same frustrations.
So I decided to improve the idea.
I developed ShiftLume with a focused front beam, a softer side glow, and USB-C charging—practical changes designed to make it easier to use and easier to keep using.
What began as a healthcare inside joke became a light built to be genuinely useful, shift after shift.
